Clare's Journal

personal account of happenings in the life of Clare Reynolds

About Clare Reynolds

Clare grew up in Noosa, a small beach-side town on the East coast of Australia. At 17 she moved away from home to study classical voice at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Four years later she came out with a music degree and a longing to be a songwriter.

Clare spent most of her time after college writing and playing gigs in and around Brisbane and 3 years ago decided it was time to record her first album.  “Inside My Head’ took 18 months to make and in September 2007 it was complete. She then sold her car along with everything she owned and hopped on a plane bound for America.  Traveling throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, and spending time in Nashville, Chicago and New York, Clare experienced the ups and downs of following a dream. 6 months later she came back to Australia with lots of new friends, an insight into the American music industry and a bag of tricks and life lessons. Clare’s journey was one of self discovery as an artist, a songwriter, a musician and a human being.

This year Clare’s been back and forth to the US, Europe and the UK, working with her amazing film and tv music agent, collaborating with hit songwriters, and performing as support for prominent Australian artists, Wendy Matthews and Vanessa Amorosi.  Add to that key song placements on hit US TV show, ‘Private Practice’, Australia’s ‘Bondi Rescue’ and the movie trailer for Uma Thurman’s, ‘Motherhood’, and Clare is beginning to see the rewards of following your dreams with passion and conviction.

Clare is in the final stages of her highly anticipated new album, ‘Colour My Heart’, due for release mid year.
